Africa is said to have 54 countries which are divided into the north(7), south(5),east(19),west(15) and central(8). With a total of 3000 Tribes and 2000 language's. African tribes have been known for their diversity in culture and creativity. These are the top African most popular tribes.

1 .ZULU TRIBE IN SOUTH AFRICA 

Zulu people are a group of ethnic people in south Africa, they are the largest ethnic group and nation in south Africa with an estimate of 10-1.2 million people living mainly in the province of Kwazulu-Natal.

  They originated from the Ngui community who took part in the Bantu migration over the millennia.

2. THE KARO OF ETHIOPIA

The karo tribes are a Nilotic ethnic group in Ethiopia famous for their body painting. 

They are also one of the smallest tribes in the region with an estimate of 1000-1.200 people. They also have been around for over 500 years as they speak the south88 osmotic language.

3. YORUBA TRIBE IN NIGERIA 

 Yoruba's are among the most storied groups in Africa, their ancestral homeland cuts across current south west Nigeria,Benin Republic and Togo in west Africa. They're between 35-40 million.

 Their dynamic culture philosophy, arts,language,sociology and history has attracted numerous attention from different cultures.

4. THE HIMBA OF NAMIBIA

  The himba tribe's are known for their polygamous lifestyle with an average of two wives per man and young women are commonly paired with a suitable family by arrangement made by the parents. Both boys and girls take part in a rite of passage before they are allowed to marry and both will be circumcised before puberty.

They are semi nomadic people. They speak Otjilimba. They are also best known for their colouring of their hair and body parts with a red colour paste(Otjize) which is considered a sign of beauty.

5. THE MASSAI TRIBE OF KENYA AND TANZANIA 

Unlike many other tribes in Kenya, the massai are semi nomadic and pastoral. They like herding cattle and goat. The massai have not fared well in modern Africa.

 They have the population of 841,622 of them in Kenya. They are known for drinking cattle blood as they believe that their "god" created cattle for the them to rear. The jumping dance is part of the Eunoto ceremony, where boy transition to men. The jumping also act as a way for men to attract brides, the higher the jump the more eligible of a bachelor he is.

1. MOUNT NYIRAGONGO 

 It is located in the democratic republic of Congo inside the Virunga National Park. It is an active Stratovolcano with an elevation of 3,440m in the Virunga Mountain associated with the Albert Rift.

2. THE BLYDE RIVER CANYON

 It is located in the Mpumalanga,South Africa. It is 26km long, it is one of the largest canyon's on earth but much more smaller than the Grand Canyon and the Fish River Canyon. It is the third largest in the world.

3. NAMIB DESSERT

  The namib dessert is a capital desert in southern Africa. The name "namib" is gotten from the khoekhoegowab origin and means "vast place". It is said to be 55 million years old and also believed to be the world oldest dessert reaching 45°C and night can drop below freezing. It is also one of the most inhospitable places on the planet.

4. TABLE MOUNTAIN 

   The table mountain is a flat topped mountain forming a prominent landmark overlooking the city of capetown in south Africa. It is a significant tourist attraction,with many other visitors using the cable way at th top for hiking. It has a height of about 1,086m.

5. AVENUE OF THE BAOBABS

  The Avenue of the baobabs is a prominent group of grandidier baobabs. They are one of the eight species found around the world, six out of eight species are found in Madagascar. Ut is said to be 2,800 years and has a height of about 30m(98ft).
