5. OMAH LAY   

        Stanley Omah Didia professionally known as Omah lay. He was just a regular citizen with nothing but his talent,hard work and his passion for music. Around may 2020 Omah lay made an impression in the naija music industry, his first official single dropped on 14th February 2020 and he gained almost 600,000 streams on all platforms,currently at sound city top 20. He has won the heart of so many listeners with the passion he puts in his musics. He has so many audience suggesting that he may be bagging the "Rookie of the year" at the next headlines with his latest album release "Get layd" 

   The song that gave him recognition is his song "you" as it is currently in the naija top ten playlist. Omah lay's music is deeply Afro fusion. One interesting thing about Omah is that he writes and produces most of his records so it would be accurate. He owned his music fully and is in control of his soundtrack. 4.JOEBOY 

       Joseph Akinfenwa Donus professionally known as Joeboy is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. He was born on May 21st 1997 age 24. Mr Eazi discovered joeboy in 2017 after watching an IG video of his cover to Ed Sheeran's "shape of you". He signed with Mr Eazi funding and mentorship program empawa100, he became one of 10,000 applicants from 14 countries. Joeboy was the first 100 recipient to earn a share of $300,000 Grant's, he used his portion of the grant to shoot a music video of his single "fààjì". 

   Joeboy sings Afro beats and contemporary R$B Genres.His song "himself" was nominated for best Artiste in African pop in All Africa Music Awards, "himself" also won best pop in Soundcity MVP Awards Festival.

    3.FIREBOY DML

   Adedamola Adefalohan professionally known as Fireboy DML. Born on 1996, fireboy is a Nigerian singer and song writer. He was born in Ogun state,Nigeria. Fireboy DML grew up in Abeokuta and was a member of his local church choir. He developed interest in schooling in Obafemi Awolowo University. His break through "jealous" first appeared on YBNL Nation's collaborative album YBNL Mafia family before it was released 25th March 2019. Fireboy also describes his songs as Afro_life and said that he writes songs his audience could relate to. Fireboy songs where nominated for song of the year in the headies.

He won most promising act of the year in City Peoples Musics Awards. His song "jealous" was also nominated for Listeners Choice and won the Sound MVP Awards Festival, fireboy has been active since 2012_2020.

 

      2.BLACKBONEZ

     Emeka Akumefule professionally known as Blackbonez. Blackbonez was born on 29th January 1996. He is also songwriter,rapper and singer. He is a Nigerian rapper signed to 100 crowns as Imprint of Chocolate city. In 2019,he was profiled by the "New York Times" as one of the new guards of Nigerian musics. He is widely known for his controversial self proclaimed status as the "Best Rapper In Rapper" (BRIA) Which became the most talked about topic in Nigerian hip hop entertainment between July and September 2019. In an interview with the punch he said his state "Best Rapper in Africa" proclaimation was a response to a diss track and he needed to wake up the rappers in Nigeria. He was listed as "top ten Artiste to watch 2019",blackbonez has released 8 eps and a mixtape.

1.REMA

    Divine Ikubor professionally known as Rema is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and rapper. Born on 1st May 2000. Rema is from Benin city, Edo State ,Nigeria. He releases afro and trap. He plays instruments like vocal and piano. 

    Divine Ikubor known as Rema was brought up from a Christian family in Benin City, Edo State. He attained his primary and secondary school education in Edo State . In 2019, he signed a record deal with jonzing world, a subsidiary of mavins records. He rose to prominence with the release of "Dumebi" and "iron man" which appeared on Barack Obama's 2019 summer playlist.

  He signed a record deal with D'prince's jonzing world in 2019.

     

        He has won many awards, On October 19th 2019, Rema won Next Rated and was nominated for Viewers Choice Awards at the 13th edition of the headies. On 12th January 2020, he received the Soundcity MVP for Best New Artiste. On 15th June 2020, rema was nominated as Best Viewers Choice, International Act on the 2020 BET AWARDS. He was nominated on the awards alongside Burnaboy and whizzkid, they where the only Nigerian Artistes nominated for the Awards edition for 2020. He has been active for 5 years (2015_2020). Through Rema's merit and awards you all see that he deserves to be the number one on the count down.
